Allergic to Lash Extension Glue? Are DIY Lashes an Alternative?

One of the questions we receive most often at Endless Luxury is:

“I’m allergic to traditional lash extensions. Can I wear DIY lashes?”

The good news is that, in the vast majority of cases, the answer is yes.

Unlike traditional lash extensions, where adhesive is applied directly to the natural lashes close to the eyelid, the DIY technique uses a Bond & Seal designed to be applied underneath the lashes. Many of our customers who could no longer tolerate traditional extensions have been able to enjoy beautiful lashes again without the same discomfort.

Of course, everyone is different. No brand can guarantee zero risk or claim that a reaction is impossible. As with any cosmetic product, there is always a possibility of sensitivity or an allergic reaction.

However, based on our experience, the vast majority of customers who have developed a sensitivity to traditional lash extensions tolerate the DIY technique very well.

If you have experienced an allergic reaction to lash extensions in the past, we always recommend starting gradually and paying close attention to how your skin and eyes react. If you experience any irritation or discomfort, remove the lashes and discontinue use.
